প্রশ্ন - পবিত্র আত্মা কে ?
আমরা আরও জানতে পারি যে, পবিত্র আত্মা নিশ্চিতভাবে একজন আত্মিক সত্ত্বা, কারণ তিনি
মন, আবেগ এবং ইচ্ছাশক্তিরও অধিকারী।
পবিত্র আত্মা
চিন্তা করতে পারেন এবং সব জানেন । “ কারণ আমাদের কাছে ঈশ্বর তাঁহার আত্মা
দ্বারা তাহা প্রকাশ করিয়াছেন, কেননা আত্মা সকলই অনুসন্ধান করেন, ঈশ্বরের গভীর বিষয়
সকলও অনুসন্ধান করেন।” ( ১ করিন্থীয় ২ অধ্যায় : ১০ পদ )। পবিত্র আত্মা দুঃখ প্রকাশ
করতে পারেন । “ আর ঈশ্বরের সেই পবিত্র আত্মাকে দুঃখিত করিও না, যাঁহার দ্বারা
তোমরা মুক্তির দিনের অপেক্ষায় মুদ্রাঙ্কিত হইয়াছ। “ ( ইফিষীয় ৪ অধ্যায় : ৩০ পদ )। পবিত্র
আত্মা আমাদের পক্ষে বিনতি প্রার্থনা করেন । “ আর সেইরূপে আত্মাও আমাদের দুর্বলতায়
সাহায্য করেন; কেননা উচিত মতে কি প্রার্থনা করিতে হয়, তাহা আমরা জানি না, কিন্তু আত্মা
আপনি অবক্তব্য আর্তস্বর দ্বারা আমাদের পক্ষে অনুরোধ করেন।”( রোমীয় ৮ অধ্যায় : ২৬ পদ
)।
তিনি তাঁর
ইচ্ছা অনুসারে সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে থাকেন । “ কিন্তু প্রত্যেক জনকে হিতের জন্য আত্মার
আবির্ভাব দত্ত হয়। কারণ একজনকে সেই আত্মা দ্বারা প্রজ্ঞার বাক্য দত্ত হয়, আর একজনকে
সেই আত্মানুসারে জ্ঞানের বাক্য, আর একজনকে সেই আত্মাতে বিশ্বাস, আর
একজনকে সেই একই আত্মাতে আরোগ্য সাধনের নানা অনুগ্রহ-দান, আর একজনকে পরাক্রম-কার্য-সাধক গুণ,
আর একজনকে ভাববাণী, আর একজনকে আত্মাদিগকে চিনিয়া লইবার শক্তি, আর একজনকে নানাবিধ ভাষা
কহিবার শক্তি, এবং আর একজনকে বিশেষ বিশেষ ভাষার অর্থ করিবার শক্তি দত্ত হয়; কিন্তু এই সকল কর্ম সেই একমাত্র আত্মা
সাধন করেন; তিনি সবিশেষ বিভাগ করিয়া যাহাকে যাহা দিতে বাসনা করেন, তাহাকে তাহা দেন।”

পবিত্র আত্মা
হচ্ছেন ঈশ্বর, ত্রিত্বের দ্বিতীয় সত্ত্বা। ঈশ্বর হিসাবে পবিত্র আত্মা প্রকৃতভাবে
সান্ত্বনাদানকারী এবং পরামর্শদাতার কাজ করে থাকেন, যা প্রভু যীশু তাঁর প্রতিজ্ঞায় বলেছেন
( যোহন ১৪:১৬, ২৬ এবং ১৫:২৬)।

Q - Who is the Holy Spirit?
A - There are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy
Spirit. Many consider the Holy Spirit to be a mystical force. Others consider
the Holy Spirit to be an impersonal power, given by God to followers of Jesus
Christ. But what does the Bible say about the identity of the Holy Spirit?
Simply, the Bible clearly states, the Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Bible also
says that the Holy Spirit is a spiritual entity, a being that includes mind,
emotions and will.
In fact, many passages of the Bible clearly show that the Holy Spirit is
God. It is also said in Acts 5:3-4. Peter boldly stated before Ananias in this
verse why he had lied to the Holy Spirit. He also says that Ananias did not
actually lie to men, but to God. It is a clear announcement! Lying to the Holy
Spirit is lying to God.
We also know that the Holy Spirit is God because He
possesses all the attributes of God. An example is Psalm 139, verses 7 to 8,
where His 'omnipresent presence' is spoken of, "
Whither shall I go
from thy spirit ? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up
into heaven, thou art there:
If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.." , look, there you are too.” We also learn that the Holy Spirit
is definitely a spiritual being, because he also has a mind, emotions, and
will.
The Holy Spirit can think and know all. "For God hath revealed it
unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searched all things, even the deep things
of God." (1 Corinthians Chapter 2: Verse 10). The Holy Spirit can express
sorrow. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed to
await the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30). The Holy Spirit intercedes for
us. “And so also the Spirit helps us in our infirmities; For we do not know
what we ought to pray, but the Spirit intercedes for us with inexpressible
cries" (Romans 8:26).
He takes decisions according to his will. “But to every man is given the
appearance of the Spirit for good. For to one is given the word of wisdom by
that Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to that Spirit, and
to one faith in that Spirit, and to one the gift of healing in the same Spirit,
and to one the virtue of prowess, and to one prophecy, and to another To
another is given the power of discerning spirits, and to another the power of
speaking many tongues, and to another the power of interpreting particular
languages; But all these actions are done by that one soul; He divides it into
special categories and gives it to whomsoever He wishes.” (1 Corinthians
chapter 12: verses 7 to 11).
The Holy Spirit is God, the second person of the Trinity. As God, the
Holy Spirit actually works as a comforter and counsellor , as the Lord Jesus
promised in His promise (John 14:16, 26 and 15:26).
